Message from the Dean

It is my great honour to welcome you to the Faculty of Business & Management (FOB).  Thank you for your interests in choosing the programmes offered by the faculty either at foundation level, diploma level or undergraduate level.  The programmes offered in the faculty are based on the approved programmes standards by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) as well as needs of the industry.  The uniqueness of DRB-HICOM U is we provide the students with industry exposure within DRB-HICOM Group subsidiaries as well as external industry.  This allows the students to progress in their knowledge and industry experience. 

Our programmes are structured into semester basis offering from fundamental, intermediate and advance levels.  The component in the body of knowledge for FOB includes (i) technical-programme core, (ii) personal development – languages, religious/moral studies, co-curricular,  IT literacy, (iii) basic of business & management – management, accounting, marketing, economics, entrepreneurship, law, supply chain (iv) mathematics – business statistics, business mathematics, quantitative business analysis and (v) workplace competencies – quality management, internship programme.  You may find each programme has its own specialization course which offers continuous demand from the industry as well as nation at large.   

Apart from that the Faculty also prepares you with other soft skills such as communication, leadership and nurturing humanities values  which in line with the aspiration of DRB-HICOM U to produce holistic, entrepreneurial and balanced graduates as defined as one of the 10 Shifts in the Malaysia Education Blueprint (Higher Education) 2015-2025. 

Above all, it is important for you to graduate on time and it is your responsibility to ensure that it can be materialized.  On behalf of Faculty, I would like to wish you success along the way and “experience DRB-HICOM U!”.

About Faculty of Business & Management

  • The Faculty of Business & Management was established in an effort to embrace and expand the ever-changing demands of social sciences and advancement of technology.  The Faculty endeavours the best educational experience and education to its undergraduate’s students preparing to face the real working world.  As at today, the Faculty is encompasses of four major clusters namely Management; Supply Chain; Accounting, Banking & Finance; and General Studies.
  • Leveraging on the experience of its teaching staff, the Faculty is offering Foundation, Diploma, and Bachelor Degree programmes for Undergraduate.
  • The Faculty is committed to ensure that its students are well prepared to compete and succeed at the real working world by applying leadership, business knowledge, and industry relevant competency to solve workplace challenges.
