Master in Takaful

Programme Summary

Master in Takaful is a distinct professional discipline, which harnesses a range of specialisations such as Syariah, ethics and governance; principles and practices of Takaful, Takaful products, risk management and compliance; audit and governance; marketing; underwriting and claims; and research methodology. This programme is intended to produce highly skilled graduates who have an expertise in Takaful, fulfilling the market needs and contributes to the social and national development.

Entry Requirement

A Bachelor’s Degree (MQF, Level 6) in a Muamalat and lslamic Finance and related field with minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 – 4.00 or its equivalent qualifications;

OR

Candidates with the above degree, with a CGPA of between 2.00 – 4.00 its equivalent qualifications may be accepted, subject to the Higher Education Provider (HEP) rigorous internal assessment (may include tests, interview or portfolio);

OR

Candidates with the above degree with CGPA above 2.00 but below 2.50 out of 4.00 or its equivalent qualifications may be accepted, subject to a minimum of 1 year of working experience in relevant field.

OR

Any other academic qualifications equivalent as approved by the Senate; lf candidates without Muamalat and Islamic Finance and related degree are admitted, prerequisite modules must be taken to adequately prepare them for their advanced studies.
For international students, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 or lnternational English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 or its equivalent.
University’s Senate reserves the right to reject any application.
