PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATES
Our graduates will be exempted from taking 4 examination papers and any courses in National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Our graduates can also apply the Green Book from JKKP after 3 years of working. Furthermore, apart from the popular diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, they will be conferred with other advanced certificate and professional certificate related to the industry.
Programme Summary
Graduates will acquire an in-depth knowledge on occupational safety and health and competency to deal with the constantly changing requirement for safety. The programme is designed to provide students with a multidisciplinary knowledge, insights, and skills to help them succeed in their career.
Target Groups
The programme is designed specifically for students seeking to advance their career in the realm of safety . It serves as a platform for students to acquire fresh knowledge and skills that will enable them to navigate the rapidly evolving challenges in their job., and enable them to obtain their Professional Certificate as Safety and Health Officer (SHO Officer)
Entry Requirement
Sub-sector of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), and sub-sector of Health Care Management.
OR
Passed SPM or its equivalent and obtained three (3) credits in the following subjects:
- Mathematics or a science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science) and
- Any TWO other subjects (including English and/or Malay if credits are obtained).
OR
Passed GCE/O Level or its equivalent with a pass in Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Inggeris and obtained 3 credits (Grade C) in the following subjects:
- Mathematics or ONE science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science); and
- Any TWO other subjects (including English and/or Malay if credits are obtained).
OR
Certificate in Health Sciences with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Passed STPM with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject*
OR
Passed SKM/SVM Level 3 (Level 3, MQF) in the relevant field.
OR
Passed SKM Level 3 (Level 3 MQF) in the related field (PPT is required to conduct screening and relevant strengthening programs** corresponding to the program field)
**The duration of the strengthening program shall not exceed one year or two academic semesters.
