Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology
Programme Summary
The programme offered is designed to produce graduates equipped with the knowledge and capabilities in engineering fundamentals and mechanical engineering principles such as operation management, hydraulic and pneumatic, engineering drawings, statics, dynamics, solid mechanics, material science, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Entry Requirement
Meet the minimum requirements of the Standard Program / requirements of the professional body / MQA recommendations in force for student intake during that period;
OR
Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government.
OR
Passed SPM or its equivalent with a minimum credit in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and one (1) other subject related to Science/Technical/Vocational, and passed English.
OR
Passed STPM or its equivalent with a minimum Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in any subject, and passed Mathematics, English, and one (1) subject related to Science/Technical/Vocational at the SPM level or its equivalent.
Any changes to the Standard Program / requirements of the professional body / MQA recommendations will apply only to new cohorts of students.
The implementation of the entry qualification requirements based on this Standard Program / requirements of the professional body / MQA recommendations is applicable as stipulated in the circular of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) at the time of enforcing the application of a particular Standard Program / requirements of the professional body / MQA recommendations.
