Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (Automotive) with Honours
Programme Summary
The programme offered is designed to produce graduates equipped with knowledge and skills both in mechanical engineering and automotive servicing technology; automotive parts function (engine, chassis, transmission system etc.) and workshop management.
Entry Requirement
Pass SPM or its equivalent with at least a pass in English.
Diploma (Level 4, MQF) English MUET Band 2*
OR
Pass Diploma MQF level 4 in Engineering / Engineering Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent.
Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) Pass Advanced Diploma MQF level 5 with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent.
Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) English MUET Band 2*
OR
Pass STPM or equivalent with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant Science subject,
OR
Matriculation / Foundation Pass Matriculation/ Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent.
Malaysian Higher Islamic Certificate (STAM) Pass STAM (Grade Jayyid) or equivalent;
OR
STAM qualification is accepted as one of the entry qualifications for undergraduate programs (Level 6, MQF). The general entry requirements to institutions of higher learning using STAM qualification are as follows:
i. Have SPM qualification with passes in Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah / or any equivalent qualifications;
ii. Pass STAM taken within 2 years before the application (Example: intake year 2011, STAM graduates of 2010 & 2009) with at least a Jayyid level; and
iii. Obtain at least Band 1 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
OR
Any other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government.
Any changes to the Standard Program / requirements of the professional body / recommendations of the MQA will apply to new cohorts of students only.
The implementation of the entry qualification requirements based on this Standard Program / requirements of the professional body / recommendations of the MQA is applicable based on the provisions stated in the circular of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) at the time of enforcing the application of a particular Standard Program / requirements of the professional body / recommendations of the MQA.
Other equivalent qualification as recognised by Malaysia Government
English Requirement for International Student
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score 500 OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score 5.0 OR its equivalent.
